Pianist Pham Dieu Thao

Pianist Pham Dieu Thao took her first piano lesson with Ms.Tran Duc Dung at five. She studied at HCMC Conservatory of Music from 1987-1998 as a student of: Tran Duc Dung, Le Thi Thu Ha, Huynh Dien Thanh Trang and Prof.Nguyen Thi Cuc Xuan(the Former Head of Piano Department, HCMC Conservatory of Music). In 1994, she won the 3rd prize of the Piano Competition “ Nu Duong Cam”.

From 1998-2002 she studied Bachelor degree of Piano with Prof.Ho Dac Thuy Hoang ( from Boston, USA), Prof. Dang Hong Quang (the former Head of Piano Department ,HCMC Conservatory of Music). She graduated as valedictorian.

In 2003, she accompanied People Artist Ta Bon ( violin ) and People Artist Bui Gia Tuong (cello ) in their recital in HCMC Conservatory and Viet Nam National Academy of Music and also gave her debut recital at Ho Chi Minh City Television.

She joined masterclasses of many famous pianists: Christopher Elton (the former Head of Keyboard Piano Department of Royal Academy of Music in London), Boris Kraljevic (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore),… In 2011, she finished Master Degree of Piano Performance under the guidance of People Teacher, Prof. Tran Thu Ha ( the Former Director of Viet Nam National Academy of Music).

She performed in The International Piano Festival 2011 and 2013 , HCMC Conservatory of Music. She was a Jury member of the Piano Competition “ Tai Nang Mien Trung ” in 2020 and “Festival Piano – Guitar open” in Dak Nong, 2022. She has appeared on HCM Television , VietNam Television, and joined in many exchange concerts with musicians inland and abroad.

From 2002 till now, she is piano teacher of the Piano Department of HCMC Conservatory of Music.
