Phạm Quỳnh Trang

Pham Quynh Trang is a piano teacher and a Concert Pianist at Vietnam National Academy of Music. She is also Founder and Artistic Director of Rising Stars International Arts Festival & Competition.

She started piano at 5 years old with teacher Mrs. Trinh Nhat Anh and Ms. Hoang Kim Dung. Pham graduated with a bachelor degree of Music, with excellent certificate, major in Piano Performance in 1994. She finished Master of Music, Piano Performance under the direction of Professor/Dr. Tran Thu Ha.

Besides working at the Vietnam National Academy of music, she performed Rhapsody in Blues by George Gershwin with Hanoi Opera and Ballet Theatre and chamber music programs with Vietnam Symphony Orchestra. Recently she played Concerto Mozart No 23 with VNSO under the French Conductor Claude Brendel. Concerto for two pianos of Poulenc . Triple concerto of Beethoven for Piano ,Violin and Cello…

She is also a member of May Duo Piano. Both Song Hong Chamber Music and May Piano Duo are well-known chamber music groups in Viet Nam. They are considered the most active groups in the chamber music field.

With the incentive to inspire, share her passion and channel her love for music to young, gifted individuals, she established May Space in 2017, numerous students have already achieved prestigious awards, distinction certificates from national and international competitions and examinations.

In addition, she is also the host/founder of the annual charity concert ‘Thu Yêu Thương’ where all profits are donated to the ‘Khăn Ấm Cho Em’ fund. The money is utilized to build a school in mountainous regions of Vietnam for unfortunate children that need education the most.
