Pianist Tran Thi Tam Ngoc
Tran Thi Tam Ngoc was born in Hanoi and started studying piano at four year old. She completed the 11-year intermediate training program of the Vietnam National Academy of Music before receiving a full scholarship to continue the piano performance training program of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore. and the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Since 2011, Tam Ngoc has been a piano instructor at the piano department, Vietnam National Academy of Music. In September 2019, she accepted an invitation to come to Sweden to be a visiting teacher in an exchange project between Vietnam National Academy of Music and Malardalen University for 5 years.
As a devoted teacher, she has trained many excellent students, winning many awards at domestic and international piano competitions, including: the Chiangmai Ginastera International Music Competition, Thailand. ; Asian Piano Festival in Seoul, Korea; Mozart Piano International competition in Bangkok, Thailand; International Piano Competition in Singapore; piano competition in Tp. Ho Chi Minh; International piano competition in Hanoi.
As a pianist, Tam Ngoc performed solo with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Orchestra, Ho Chi Minh City National Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra. Philharmonic Hanoi music. She is a guest artist performing regularly in major theaters of Vietnam, China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Sweden and the US.
In addition to solo shows, Tam Ngoc also actively participates in chamber music activities. She is a member of the duo May piano duet and an active member of the contemporary group Hanoi New Music Ensemble.
