Pianist Nguyen Hong Minh
Pianist & musicologist Nguyen Hong Minh had spent 20 years in Russia and England, pursuing his music study at the Moscow Gnessin Music College, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Royal Academy of Music and London Goldsmith College. Since his return to Vietnam in 2007, Minh has devoted his professional life in developing music and arts education in Vietnam. “Working as a social activist, an educator, Minh is seeking to change society to provide it with the capacity for compassion, passion, and love,” as stated in a Forbes’s article about the Erato School which Minh established in 2008.
Erato School of Music & Performing Arts has become a leading music & arts school in Vietnam where music (classical & contemporary), performing arts, fine arts and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) are taught at four locations in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. Minh has been responsible for introducing RSL (Rockschool Ltd) International and Dalcroze Eurhythmics to Vietnam, which help to diversify and enrich music teaching methods and materials in Vietnam.
At the start of Erato School’s ten years anniversary, Minh re-starts his performing life as a pianist, beginning with his performances at the Vietnam Connection Music Festival 2018.
