Pianist Nguyen Trinh Huong

Nguyễn Trinh Hương

 

 Pianist Nguyen Trinh Huong started her piano training at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music at the age of seven. In 1989, she came to Moscow (Russia) to study at the Gnessin School of Music and in 1994, she continued her studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory of Music, where she obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. In 2000, she was awarded third prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome, Italy.

Dr. Huong has been on the faculty of the Vietnam National Academy of Music since 2007. Her students have won many awards at important national and international competitions in several Southeast countries, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, Russia, UK, France, and Italy.

As a performer, Dr. Huong has appeared as a soloist with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam Classical Players, and Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera. She has given many solo recitals and chamber music performances in Vietnam, Russia, South Korea, Malaysia, and Sweden. She has regularly been invited as a featured artist at music festivals, including Autumn Melodies Art Festival, and Vietnam Connection Music Festival for the third consecutive year.

Dr. Huong is currently a board member of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival and teaches at the Piano faculty at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
