Onpavee Nitisingkarin

Onpavee Nitisingkarin is a native of Thailand, where she received her undergraduate degree in piano performance at College of Music, Mahidol University. After completing her Bachelor Degree, she attended WVU for her Master’s and Doctorate in piano performance under Prof. Dr. Peter Amstutz.

Onpavee also appears in numerous concerts as well as several piano competition venues. She was a semi- finalist in the 3rd Intersection of Classical and Jazz Piano Festival at WVU. In February 2017, Onpavee was invited to perform the King Composition in “Concert in Remembrance of H.M. the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej ” at Mater Dei School, Bangkok.

Besides being a performer, Dr. Onpavee is also an experienced piano teacher. She was a piano faculty at Washington and Jefferson College as well as at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Pennsylvania. Currently, she is piano instructor at College of Music, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. She is also an Artistic Director and a founder of Amstutz Music School, Bangkok, Thailand.

In addition, Onpavee gives piano masterclasses regularly. Since the Covid-19, she has appeared frequently in online platforms as a guest speaker and clinician, recently in June 2021 she had given a unique masterclass “An Application on Body Movement in Piano Playing Using Dalcroze Approach” at UiTM University, KL, Malaysia.

Onpavee has also served as a jury member in several piano competitions and festivals, such as Singapore International Youth Piano Competition, the 2nd Hong Kong International Music Competition for Young Pianists 2019, ClassicOn International Piano Competition 2019, Seoul, South Korea, and recently Online Popular Piano Competition and Music@e-Contest in 2020.
